Abstract.
The author, by the material of the Tatar song lyrics, analyzes the functioning of refrains and repetitions, reveals their genetic correlation, determines their place in the composition structure of a poetic work, and conducts the analysis along the axis “folk song - professional song”, which allows monitoring the realization of the plot-stylistic potential of refrains and repetitions in all forms of song creativity.
