DON QUIXOTE AS HEROIC ROMANTIC IN PLAY “DON QUIXOTE” BY M. BULGAKOV

Abstract.
The author analyzes the image of Don Quixote in the similar play by M. Bulgakov as the image of the heroic romantic, aspiring to transform the reality in accordance with high romantic ideal. Even devoid of purpose and opportunity to fight, dying Don Quixote - artist remains loyal to his dream, passes the trial as the bearer of romantic-heroic idea, overcoming internal doubts and surviving the collision with the world of “other” in the creative rebellion of poet and knight.
