Abstract.
The author analyzes the social-cultural paradigm borrowing from the perspective of cognitive linguistics by the example of insurance institution development in Russia, involves bilingual language material – phraseosemantic field “Страхование”/“Insurance”, pays special attention to the aspects of terminological nomination, considers conceptual metaphor as the way of term formation, reveals and compares the organizing concepts within the Russian language and English language part of terminological systems.
