Abstract.
The author considers the grounds of quantitative methods application for the study of language idiom, estimates the heuristic significance of frequency data, analyzes the character of information about language idiom, which can be obtained in the course of its quantitative analysis, and in addition comes to the conclusions about the features of the language picture of the world depicted by the individual idiom.
