Abstract.
The author discusses the theoretical questions of written communication, considers the text in the new paradigm of written communication as part of the environment of writer and reader’s interaction with other aspects of environment, takes into account the dynamics of correspondence participants’ interactions, emphasizes that the meaning of written communication text is determined by “for me - here - and now” in mediated interaction with other communicant, suggests the possibility of developing coordinated action, and concludes that correspondence has orientating character, leads to the coordination of behaviour, and thus can bring both communicants to a new level of cognition.
