Abstract.
The main problem encountered by the press secretary of The Main Department of The Ministry of the Russian Federation for Civil Defense, Emergencies and Elimination of Consequences of Natural Disasters in Khakassia while creating texts is the necessity of influencing the audience with the purpose of emergency situations prevention. In this connection in the department press releases, notwithstanding the requirements to such texts, there appear figurative and expressive language means. The author of the article considers the most widely spread expressive language means and substantiates their use purpose.
