Abstract.
The author researches the notions of empathy focus and modality within the limits of their correlation by the material of the Arabian journalistic text, determines the semantic-pragmatic peculiarities of empathy focus modality as a text-formative factor of the Arabian social and political journalism, and also substantiates the necessity of their analysis for revealing the text modal-subjective parameters.
