“EVENING ON KHOPER” BY N. M. ZAGOSKIN: FICTION AND LANDSCAPE FIGURATIVENESS

Abstract. The author analyzes N. M. Zagoskin’s collection of stories in comparison with collection of fiction novels by A. Pogorel'skii which is close in its compositional (cyclic) and narrative organization, considers garden space in relation to the topos of house, forest, castle, and determines garden figurativeness of N. M. Zagoskin’s stories as the significant category of artistic world in the work, describing the characters, which is the attribute of the real-world opposed to the surreal one.
