Abstract.
The author researches the reception of Gogol' in the literary heritage of A. Dovzhenko, from this point of view analyzes the works “Taras Bul'ba”, “Life in Bloom”, “Michurin”, “The Death of the Gods”, “Poem of the Sea”, “Descendants of the Cossacks”, “The Renegade”, and tells that created under the influence of world literature classical author’s tales, they are of great educational-patriotic significance, and contribute to the awakening of national consciousness.
