Abstract.
The author undertakes the attempt to analyze the text of fabulous narration from the perspective of a frame approach, i.e., on the basis of its structure, substantiates the appropriateness and advantages of this method of analysis, as the material of the research considers the texts of fairy tales with different structures: magic and cumulative, conducts a frame analysis of the fairy tale “The Tale of Ivan Tsarevich and the Grey Wolf” by V. A. Zhukovskii, and basing on the research reveals the typical and at the same time distinctive features of a fairy tale at the level of its structure plan in the form of the stereotyped patterns of action.
