Abstract.
The author considers the possibility of reconstructing the value cultural specific meanings of concepts that have clear social significance for the culture on the whole, through the process of evaluating the concept extra-linguistic referents by native speakers, emphasizes the necessity of valuable component presence in the concept and the need for linguistic analysis of the dynamics of its evaluations, describes the value of evaluation through the social-cultural concept “Oxbridge”, due to the collision of individual and group evaluations of its extra-linguistic referents, and also pays attention to the historical and social aspects of value formation as a category, and the evaluation as a process.
