TERMINOLOGICAL SYSTEM AS UNIT OF TRANSLATION

Abstract.
The author considers the terminological problems of translation, pays special attention to determining the scope of the notion “unit of translation” within the framework of onomasiological approach, postulates that in the appropriate translation of a special text one should take as a unit of translation not a single term, but the entire terminological system capable to indicate the limits of term equivalence included in it, and concludes that this idea is the basis of translation operations algorithm for working with a special text.
