Abstract.
The author discusses figurative vocabulary and phraseology presented in the Dictionary of the Russian dialects of Amur region, considers the process of natural phenomena metaphorization (rain, snow, sun, moon, water) as the specific perception of the world in dialect personality’s consciousness, describes some types of metaphorical transfers: personification, epithets; reveals the semantics of set phrases, denoting various natural phenomena, shows the cases of tropes convergence, and researches the vocabulary and phraseology of the Russian dialects of Amur region from the point of view of speech expressiveness.
