DOMINANTS OF IVAN FRANKO IDIOLECT AND THEIR REPRESENTATION IN UKRAINIAN-LANGUAGE AUTHOR’S TRANSLATIONS

Abstract.
The author reveals the content of the notion “dominant”, which interdisciplinary significance is becoming increasingly common in the criticism of translation, and it serves as a tool for the determination of the general method of particular author’s translation, his strategies, tactics and translation background assumption, and pays particular attention to the identification and analysis of I. Franko idiolect dominants in the original texts and author’s translations.
