Abstract. The author considers the discursive embodiment of the story about Apfelböck in the different genres dilogy by Brecht. The presence of alienation in the representation of existential motif of death depends on the viewpoint and type of an author-narrator. But the difference in viewpoints allows observing the alienation at the level of the author’s intertextual space.
