EXPERIMENT AND CRIME IN NOVEL “AGAINST NATURE” BY J.-K. HUYSMANS AND IN NOVEL “THE PICTURE OF DORIAN GRAY” BY O. WILDE

Abstract.
The article considers the interrelation between the dandy code of behaviour and moral principles. The special attention is paid to the correlation of experiment (delayed crime) and direct crime. The author’s goal is to reveal the specificity of interaction of J.-K. Huysmans and O. Wilde by the example of the novels “Against Nature” and “The Portrait of Dorian Gray”. The research intends to reveal the interrelation between the motives of direct/indirect and the specificity of an intellectual game of stated authors’ oppositions.
