Abstract.
The research aims at describing lexico-semantic peculiarities of the most frequent nouns in the adventures of a castaway by the German writer I. D. Viss and thus identifying the ways the writer influences the readership. The author used such research methods as continuous sampling, quantitative analysis, descriptive classification method. The research results can be used during teaching Russian, German, stylistics and the study of literature.
