PHRASEOLOGICAL ANGLICISMS OF SPORTS ORIGIN IN INFORMATION STYLE OF THE MODERN GERMAN LANGUAGE

Abstract. The article is devoted to the consideration of the functioning peculiarities of the English borrowed phraseological units of sports origin in the information style of the German language. The author reveals the content of the notion “borrowed sports metaphorics”, and then elaborates on elucidating the process of sports phraseological borrowings assimilation by the German language society, taking into account the stylistic stratification of the recipient discourse.
