ROLE AND FUNCTIONS OF MEXICAN CULTURE WORDS-REALIA IN NOVEL “THE OLD GRINGO” BY K. FUENTES

Abstract.
The article presents the analysis of the actualization of the Mexican word-realia in the novel “Gringo viejo” (translated as “The Old Gringo”) by K. Fuentes, which according to the syntagmatic criteria are divided into six groups: natural and geographical words-realia; realia-anthroponyms; the words-realia of social sphere; everyday words-realia; words-realia denoting the features of national character, or the units of “cultural fund”.
