Abstract. The article is devoted to the representations forms research of the author’s attitude to civilizing discourse of the Russian history understanding in the West-European culture. The unfreedom theme analysis at the content level in inseparable unity with the paradox principle of Tom Stoppard’s text discloses the inconsistence of the totalitarian system in his struggle against the introspect conscience of Russian intellectual.
