Abstract.
The article considers myth functioning in the novel of the Yakut writer A. Borisova. The plot, figurative system, and linguistic structure are presented in the interrelation of tradition and innovation. Poetics of olonkho becomes the basis for the transformation of novel genre, the promotion of the Yakut epos within world space, the field of intercultural dialogue.
