EXPLOITATION OF BEAUTIFUL WOMAN’S IMAGE IN FRENCH MAGAZINE FEMME ACTUELLE

Abstract.
The article deals with the problem of beautiful woman’s image exploitation in the French feminine press by the example of the most popular French magazine for female reader Femme actuelle . The author underlines the dominance of the topics such as Beauty, Weight Loss, and Fashion in the issue under discussion and pays attention to the perception of feminine value in the light of these notions. The following components of beautiful woman’s stereotyped image are pointed out in the article: well-tended appearance, shapeliness, youthfulness, sexuality and subservience to fashion trends.
