ROLE OF AGENTIVE SUBJECT PREDICATES FOR CREATING CHARACTERS’ IMAGES IN A. PLATONOV’S SHORT STORY “THE FOUNDATION PIT”

Abstract.
The article is devoted to the analysis of the agentive subject predicates used for creating characters’ images (by the example of Voshchev’s image – the hero of A. Platonov’s short story “The Foundation Pit”). In the paper the classification taking into account the subject’s characteristics such as activity-passivity, action conditionality by the hero’s will and the semantics of predicates is given. This analysis allows characterizing the character in detail and revealing some principles of constructing A. Platonov’s discourse.
