Abstract.
The article describes the peculiarities of nature theme perception in D. I. Stakheev’s literary works and I. I. Shishkin’s painting, who are united not only by the common theme, but also by the ancient city on river Kama - Yelabuga. The author combines the regional and general local history aspects resorting to the comparative-contextual analysis of the literary and artistic works and exploring the cross-cutting themes, motives and images.
