CONCEPT “HOME” IN THE GERMAN LANGUAGE WORLDVIEW (ON THE BASIS OF DICTIONARY ENTRIES)

Abstract.
The article is devoted to the representation of the concept HOME in the German language worldview on the basis of dictionaries. The address to this concept is conditioned by its high significance in the German culturological worldview. As a result of this work the author gives a list of the basic semantic features of the concept HOME in the mind of the average German linguo-culture representative. The concept is described from the core to the periphery. The results can be used in teaching such subjects as “Culturology”, “Theory and Practice of Translation”, “Intercultural Communication”, “Lexicology”, etc.
