Abstract.
For the first time the article presents the attempt of poetological analysis of the “sea” brochures cycle by Igor Severyanin. The traditionalism, declamatory civic consciousness, imaginative and narrative schematism of the poems involved in the cycle turn here into the object of research reflection. Not only the address to the traditionally poetic and greatly rhetorical pattern but the tremulous attempts to resist the traditional poetry make Severyanin’s lyric poetry of 1904-1905 different.
