Abstract.
The article considers some aspects of comparative characteristic of grammar systems of the Russian and Karachay-Balkar languages. The author makes a conclusion that in the process of the Russian language teaching to the non-Russian people (Balkarians) the typological similarities and differences of the mentioned languages must be taken into consideration to develop the skills in the process of speech activity.
