THE CONCEPT “JOY” VERBALIZATION BY SENTENCES OF CHANGE IN THE GERMAN LANGUAGE

Abstract.
The article tells about the sentences of change with the general semantics “emotional processes”. By the material of the German language the possible verbalization of the concept “joy” in the sentences of a new type, which has been distinguished recently thanks to the developments in the logic of changes, is described. The article discusses the features of concept representation by verbs, ascertains which mechanisms are involved in this process, and how the metaphorization processes are used for the formation of the concept “joy”. In particular, how verbs of different semantic classes are used for explicating its conceptual features. The article states that the native German speakers ascribe anthropomorphic characteristics and the features of animate and inanimate nature with the dominant feature “change” to the emotion “joy”.
