TEACHING BUSINESS COMMUNICATION IN THE ENGLISH LANGUAGE IN A NON-LINGUISTIC HIGHER SCHOOL: ROUND-TABLE DISCUSSION ON THE SUBJECT “SERVICE AT THE RAILWAY TRANSPORT”

Abstract. The article considers the issues of organizing the informative, productive and constructive communication in the English language classes in a non-linguistic higher school under the preparation and conducting the round-table discussion on the subject “Service at the Railway Transport”. For securing informativity and productivity of communication the author introduces a set of exercises based on the all-European foreign language competences. The constructiveness of communication is supposed to be secured by organizing a role play: introducing and casting of roles of the officials of the companies functioning in the service sector. The article presents the samples of individual role tasks for conducting a role play in the English language - round-table discussion on the subject “Service at the Railway Transport”.
