ANGLICISMS IN THE FRENCH LANGUAGE AS A CONSEQUENCE OF GLOBALIZATION PROCESS

Abstract.
In the article English borrowings in French are considered. In this context the history of Anglicisms penetration and adaptation of the Anglo-American vocabulary are analyzed, the sociolinguistic consequences of this process are studied. The author compares the attitude of different French-speaking countries towards this problem and grounds the proposition that people of three continents realize inevitability of Anglicisms dominance in French and they are also anxious about possible consequences of globalization.
