THE REASONS FOR ARCHAIZATION OF THE VOCABULARY OF THE KUMUK LANGUAGE

Abstract.
The article sets a task to reveal the reasons for archaization of the vocabulary of the Kumuk language. The author pays special attention to the issue of language variability playing a key role in the investigation of the forms of existence of a language. The analysis conducted by the author resulted in identification of the two basic factors common for all languages: extra-linguistic and internal linguistic. Within these factors the researcher identifies the major historical stages and intralingual linguistic processes provoking considerable redistribution of the vocabulary of the Kumuk language.
