THE CONCEPTION OF “IMAGINATION” IN THE CREATIVE WORK OF W. WORDSWORTH

Abstract. The paper is devoted to the conception of “imagination” in the creative work of the English poet-romanticist W. Wordsworth. The article reveals the meaning of the conception of “imagination” in the epoch of romanticism, in particular, in the creative work of the Early Romantic Poets. The author sets a goal to identify the basic principles characteristic for the poet’s conception of “imagination” and methods for developing the author’s original style. The task of the research involves presenting the systemic analysis and also the brief description of the “imaginative style” of W. Wordsworth. This subject will be of interest to the specialists in the sphere of Russian and foreign literature.
