Abstract. The article is devoted to the problem of creative thinking development of the students who study a foreign language by means of literary text. Students' creative thinking development is based on the stages of sense creative activity: sense making, sense awareness, and sense formation. Techniques of interruption of actions, defense of position, experience of positions are considered as main techniques of work organization on creative thinking development.
