Abstract.
The article is devoted to the identification of documentary and autobiographical principles in the creative work of the Yakut writer - war veteran I. P. Nikiforov. In the war prose the author concentrates on the reconstruction of the destiny of war generation, revealing the psychological reorientation of the man of peaceful labor, his adaptation to the conditions and laws of the war. Biography of the writer is a live and necessary commentary to his works.
