Abstract.
In the article the author analyzes the historical time of the novel "The Collector Collector" by the modern English writer Tibor Fischer in the light of a new approach to history and its representation in a literary work. The topicality of the research is conditioned by insufficient state of knowledge of Tibor Fischer's creativity, particularly of Russian researchers, and by general interest of modern writers to the issues of history, reality and possibility of their interpretation in a text.
