Abstract.
In the article the reasons of mistakes and inaccuracies occurrence in the use of the English language by means of comparison of the cultures of the USA and Russia are considered. Concrete examples of the topics which should not be touched upon in conversations with the representatives of the foreign language culture are given. The author focuses on the fact that the language should be studied in indissoluble unity with the worldview and culture of the people speaking this language.
