Abstract.
The article is devoted to the study of compositional-speech forms of reported speech in the French press, in particular, in the information-analytical genre which is represented by such types of articles as a reportage, a picture of a notable personality and a journalistic investigation. Reported speech is considered from the perspective of its functioning in the newspaper discourse depending on the press genres and their compositional peculiarities for the first time.
