Abstract.
The article is devoted to the specifics of artistic reception of the personality and literary heritage of G. Skovoroda in the system of modern world conceptions. The image of philosopher is analyzed by the material of the story by Y. Mushketik “The Devil is Awake” and the novel by V. Yeshkilev „All Corners of the Triangle”. These writers take interest basically in the idea of freedom in the life and creative work of their character. The special attention is paid to the common motives and leading tendencies of the image of G. Skovoroda in the Ukrainian prose of the XIX - beginning of the XXI century.
