Abstract.
The article focuses on the activity of V. G. Korolenko as an editor. The paper investigates the role of V. G. Korolenko-editor in the creative destiny of the writers, the history of the “Russian wealth” - one of the major magazines of the end of the XVIII - beginning of the XIX century. The success of the paper is the identification of V. G. Korolenko’s editorial principles on the basis of the analyzed literature: answering each author in time with the detailed analysis of a literary work, careful attitude to the works of the young authors, high professional standards.
