Abstract.
The article considers the romantic traits of the chronotope marked by Germanness in pre-emigrant poetry of Sasha Cherny. Romantic locus is represented either by a spontaneous space, contrasted to philistine one, that creates the effect of romantic dual conception of reality or by space associated with the beginning of the night, death, darkness.
