“A CHILD OF NATURE” IN THE FIGURATIVE STRUCTURE OF THE PLAY “LAST SUMMER IN CHULIMSK “

Abstract. The article tries to analyze the genesis of an image of “a child of nature” and natural motives in A.V. Vampilov’s creative work. The goal of the paper is to identify the place of “a child of nature” in the figurative structure of the play “Last Summer in Chulimsk” and the basic ideas propagated by the author through this image. The confrontation of “a child of nature” and civilization results in the victory of civilization: traditional lifestyle is destroyed and forgotten; “a child of nature” is deceived, rejected by the modern society. Understanding of this fact becomes a new stage in the creative evolution of a writer.
