Abstract.
The article studies the structure of the prosodeme space in the Chinese language. The realization of speech units requires different time. The article reveals the features of the realization of such a parameter as “compression - stretching” in different communicative types of phrases-sentences, as well as in opposed accentual structures. By the example of the Chinese language the article studies the dependence of the duration parameter on the type of the accentual structure in disyllabic interrogative and affirmative sentences.
