LEVELS OF ABSTRACTION OF PREDICATES EXPRESSED BY THE ENGLISH VERBS OF MANAGEMENT

Abstract. The article reveals the principles of semantic classification of predicates in relation to the time axis by the example of functioning of the English verbs of management. The author analyzes the level of abstraction of a denotative situation, and suggests the typology of predicates that represents the features of the content of a verb semantic structure by the criterion of localization / abstraction from a particular course of time. The article focuses on the fact that the morphological form of the use of verbal unit is directly dependent on the semantic type of a predicate.
