Abstract. The article investigates the creative image of a Russian poet of the Silver Age Maximilian Voloshin who inscribed in golden letters his creative personality in the heritage of a world culture. Maximilian Voloshin’s world-view is permeated with the deeper layers of ancient civilization which, being specifically interpreted and intertwined, entered the creative code of Silver Age culture and such cultural phenomenon as Cimmeria reconstructed by Voloshin’s mythopoetry.
