Abstract. The article is devoted to the peculiarities of teaching business communication by phone in English to students from economic training directions. The situations of foreign language business communication by phone are presented. The difficulties of conducting foreign language telephone conversations related to the lack of eye contact with an interlocutor are emphasized, and the techniques that contribute to overcoming them are suggested.
