PROPER NAMES AS IDENTIFYING SIGNS IN LANGUAGE SYSTEM

Abstract.
The article considers the functioning of proper names in the language system. The postulate about variative structure of the language system is taken as the theoretical basis of the analysis. By the material of the German language the author proves the existence of the smallest identifying unit - nomem in the onimic system and considers the types of its implementation at different levels.
