COMPARATIVE ANALYSIS OF THE TRANSLATIONS OF THE POEM “REQUIEM” BY A. AKHMATOVA INTO THE ENGLISH AND FRENCH LANGUAGES

Abstract.
The article by the material of comparative analysis of the three translations - into the English and French languages - of a fragment from “Requiem” by A. Akhmatova examines a problem of communicative equivalence. The paper shows that translation of author’s intentions is directly associated with the preservation of invariance, including at the communicative level. The authors evaluate the translations from the viewpoint of their correspondence with the emotional message of an original text.
