Abstract. The article analyzes the monograph "Aesthetics and Sociology" of the scientist, literary critic, professor Foat Galimullin and emphasizes its importance for the deep analysis of the history of Tatar literature of the 1920-30s. It is noted that the author’s scientific-theoretical findings and conclusions allow us to take a fresh look at the literary movement, the development of certain literary genres, the state of literary criticism and that is manifested in the new approach to the works of little-known Tatar writers and the research of literary critics.
