INFORMATION STRUCTURE OF NEWS TEXT IN GENDER ASPECT

Abstract. The article is devoted to gender studies, which are one of the leading trends of modern linguistics, and reveals the gender features of the English news text. The author pays special attention to the analysis of the gender specifics of the information structure of news text and differences in information blocks as themselves. The paper also examines the influence of sociocultural and psychological factors on the peculiarities of text-forming by male and female journalists.
