Abstract.
The article examines the problem of forming a new outlook on the traditional image of a peasant in N. A. Nekrasov’s creative work. The paper analyzes the subject-object relations from the viewpoint of the theory of an author. Studying the correlations of subject and object in the poetical texts allows identifying the evolution of Nekrasov’s artistic system towards a new type of relations between an author and a character. The researcher accentuates the rapprochement of consciousnesses of an author and a character in the late period of creative work, abandoning the direct moral and ethical assessment.
